Obituary of Barbara Jane Nelson

Nelson, Barbara (nee Angus) Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, July 18th, 2021 at 66 years of age. Beloved wife of Joel. Loving mother of Jamie (Michelle) and Trevor (Sarah). Much loved grandmother of Jacob, Hayley, Isaiah, Asher, Isabelle, Lyla-Grace and Ezra. Loved sister to Lynndell (Udo), Murray (Jane) and Carole (Martin). Much loved sister in law to Sandra, Holly (Larry), George (Cindy), Kate (Sem), Roseanne (Ian) and Tim (Kristine). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Barb was very active in Girl Guides of Canada as a guider, leader and served on various committees. After a courageous battle with cancer Barb’s faith never wavered, and she never gave up until God called her home. A private service will be taking place. The family wish to invite family and friends to celebrate Barbara's legacy with stories and memories on Saturday, July 24th, 2021 from 1-6 p.m. located at 21 Eleventh Concession Rd. Harley, Ontario. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford, 519-752-4331. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Girl Guides of Canada would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Barb in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
