Ome Joop loved the Word, lived by the Word and now finally he will dwell in the presence of the Word made flesh.
Ome joop who was a mere sojourner in this world has gone home. I am happy for him, but my thoughts and prayers go out to those who will miss him on a day to day basis.
Len, we are very sorry for the loss that you, Marty and your entire family know in the passing of your father. We wish you all peace and comfort in knowing that he is being well provided for. Our prayers are with you and your family.

A pleasure and a privilege to have known Joe.
Joe was a giver and caused those who were around him to be at ease.
His depth in the Word along with his ability to share it in a friendly manner is my strongest
recollections of Joe. Heavens gain.
Brother Joe (as I knew him) was a very kind and committed man firstly to God Christ and his family. Although I only personally got to know Joe over a 3 year period (mainly as he visited me at my home) he was a constant in fervor and love with compassion to me and my family. He will no doubt be missed by the Brethren and his family and anyone who knew him.
Travel well my Brother; I'll see you on the other side.
Brother Lew
I have a lovely picture in my head of Ome Joop apart from meeting his wife, also meeting my father Wim at the entrance of heaven and happily reunited.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and I'm sure that Pat is also watching over you at this difficult time.
We extend our sympathies to all of you. May the Lord surround you with His love, peace and strength during this difficult time. So thankful for your Dad's good witness and testimony.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during these difficult days. He will be sorely missed at the Carey Conferences.
I met Joe through his son Lloyd a number of years ago and Joe quickly shared his faith with me. I was a believer too and Joe met with me and my wife Susanne and went through the Bible with us in regards to a doctrinal topic we had wrestled with. Joe pointed us to see what the Bible said. I will remember Joe's smiling face and his undying love for his Lord and will always be thankful for him and the time he took to guide us.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. For Joe's wife ,Peter,Marty,Wilma,Lloyd and Len and your families as you have lost a dear Dad siddenly ! I just have to think of how happy your dad will be to experience what he always what I sometimes called preaching ! We did respect his seriousness and concerns in our reason for living in this world to serve our Saviour!we also appreciated his brick masonry work and have had some work done in our homes that shows his workmanship!Thankful for his precisleness in this regard!love and hugs Alan and Theresa DeVries
I am very sorry to hear of your loss, Opa was an extraordinary man, one whom I had a great measure of respect for. Loss is never easy and is often wrought with many conflicting feelings, yet you can take joy in the knowledge that you will meet with him again. I say this sincerely when I say my prayers are with you.
Much love,
Holly

Dear Lloyd and Cathy,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your father. I pray that God comfort you, and that His peace, joy, hope, and love continue to be poured out on you and your family during this time and always.
Joe Vandenberg was one of the most sweetest of men I have ever met. He had a love and passion for the lost and for everyone he came in contact with. He was a dear friend and brother in Christ. He will be missed, although temporarily. Until we meet again Joe, around the throne of God with the redeemed.
Dear Family VandenBerg, My sincere condolences to you all in the loss of a loving Father, Opa and other family members. I grew up with the VandenBerg family in Hamilton Church....and later attended Pilgrim Baptist Church where I got to know him better. His love of God was evident in everything he did and it showed to both young and old....Age did not matter to him....It spoke volumns to all and who his great love was....his Wonderful Father in heaven, His Son Jesus Christ, who died for us all, and the Holy Spirit. He is now HOME!! May God give you strength and fill the empty spot in your lives with His presence. Praying for you all!
