Condolences
I am lucky to have been one of the people to meet and spend time with Doug and Thelma through my friendship with their daughter, Pam. Doug had a knack for making people feel welcome and right at home and they were, for a time, my second Holme... My love and thoughts are with Thelma, Pam and Sheila during this sad time while still celebrating his long and loving life. Linda MacMillan
I will always remember my Uncle Doug as a quiet, peaceful person who found his serenity in music and who displayed it with his gentle smile. As the last of a generation of Holmes's, may we keep his memory alive by passing on the good stories of that family created by Maggie and Obediah!
Our sincere condolences to Thelma, Sheila and Pam.with the passing of Doug. We wish Thelma strength in the coming days. John & Corrie
My sincerest condolences to each of you on Mr. Holmes' (your husband and father) passing.
Dear Holmes family, I am very sorry for your loss. It has been a pleasure seeing all of your smiling faces at the country club throughout the years. Mr. Holmes will be greatly missed at your table. I wish Mrs. Holmes, Sheila, and the rest of your family all the best through the difficult times ahead. Kind regards, Hannah Wright
Brian and I send our deepest sympathy to Thelma Sheila Pam and family and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Doug was a wonderful husband and father and his love and respect for all man kind will always be remembered.
We were deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Holmes passing. Our concern now is for the family, and their profound loss of this rare and extraordinary gentleman who left this earth in peace with few, if any, regrets. He loved his family; they loved them back. That speaks volumes in this day and age. All our love, The Bakers
