PLANT, Sherman Frederick - Unexpectedly at the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday, October 14th, 2009, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Frances for over 60 years. Loving father of Joe (Linda), Jim (Bridgett), Cindy (Shawn) VanSickle and the late Dale (Barb). Grandfather of Jeff (Jean), Jennifer, Jane (Patrick), Heather (Blake), Josh (Ashley), Joey (Val), Jake, Jeremy (Angela), Kerri and Heidi and 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by his dear brother Ivan and sister Laurene (the late Louis Campbell). He will also be fondly missed by his nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, on Friday, October 16th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment Salt Springs Cemetery. Donations to St. Joseph's Lifecare Foundation or the Salt Springs Church Heritage Fund would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Sherman in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
