Condolences
Helen and Rick Im so sorry for you loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you family.
Hey Gord and Family: I have many fond memories of Johanna. Going to the Letink house was our weekend routine, when I was young, helping out with what ever needed doing. But for the two young boys it was not always exciting. I think my most memorable time was when Johanna took the time to take Ed and I out for a snowmobile ride. We went just outside of town and unloaded the machine in a field and went for a ride, unfortunately we got into deep snow and got stuck, all part of the adventure. Johanna always had a smile on her face, and a friendly greeting. She will be missed.
Dear Gord: I am so sorry that I cannot be present on the 18th to celebrate Joanne's life and mourn her passing. I know that she had a rough start on dialysis but with your and help and support she was able to make the transition and adjusted well. You were always there for Joanne and were her advocate each step of the way. You were a very special couple and I always felt very welcome in your home. I was always made to feel like part of the family.Joanne knew how much you loved her and supported her through her illness. Please know that there was nothing more that you could have done for Joanne. It was a pleasure to have cared for Joanne and I will always remember her. Most sincerely, Sue (Joanne's PD nurse for life)
I have such clear memories of Joanne and Gordie driving to Hamilton in their super cool van to pick up our family to spend weekends in Brantford. It was the 70's, Joanne and Gordie were in their 20's and Im sure they had better things to do than chauffeur Mary and her 3 young kids back and forth to Brantford...but they generously did it. And we gratefully accepted the ride. If I recall that van had lush shag carpeting and the Bay City Rollers cranked up on the sound system... this was a luxury ride !! I mean, to a 10 year old like me, it didn't get much cooler. Another thing that stands out for me as I think about Joanne, was her kindness. She had a very gentle way and you always felt comfortable being with Joanne. She will be missed. Im so glad I had a chance to see her last December. Im thinking of you all. Best, Lucy
My Dear Gord, I was so sorry to hear of Joanne's passing. Her and I had such fun at your moms cottage in the water. She was a very gentle soul. I will see you on the 18th and I have notified Marlene Stephens, Helen Rowley as well, they will be there. I cant tell you how sorry I am as I know you had a very special love for each other, one that cant be found very often. You are a good man and I hope you are doing ok. Lots of Love Elaine Schaeffer-Cooper Screen Print Employee
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time. Hang in there. Love, Jen and Rob
