HANANS, Robert - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23rd, 2013, in his 76th year, at the Stedman Community Hospice, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Patricia. Loving father of Ronald, Michael (Teri), the late Linda Clark, and David. Devoted grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters Rosalie Ryan, Helena (Mike) Connors, Linda (Bob) Smith, Gwen Richardson, Wanda (Rick) Neave, and James (Nancy) Dick, sisters-in-law Margaret Donaldson, and Jean Trimm, and brother-in-law David (Karen) Dick. Predeceased by his parents George Hanans and Effie Langille, brothers George (Lillian), and Allan, and his sisters Loretta (Bruce) Hemlow, and Marjorie (Joe) Gallant, and his brothers-in-law Morgan Trimm, and John Dick. He will also be fondly remembered by all of his nieces, nephews, friends, and inseparable best friend - his dog Kati. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre on Thursday, June 27th, 2013 from 10 - 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Robert in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
