Obituary of George Buzek

BUZEK, George 1921 - 2008 - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Monday, January 7th, 2008. Loving husband of the late Helen Theresa (1991), and dear father of the late Melanie Lynne (1996). George is survived by his sister Elsie Foster, of Woodstock, and his sister-in-law Vera Sibbick and her husband Austin. Predeceased by brothers William and Michael. He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many other family members and friends. George will be especially missed by the family of Cindy Li, Dayuan Xie and Ruo, who have provided most of George's support care over the past few years. George was a past employee of Universal Cooler Ltd. and retired Vice President of Domclean Limited. George was the past President of The Brant Figure Skating Club, an amateur (Ham) radio operator (VE3MEI) and enjoyed many years of fishing and bird hunting. In accordance with George's wishes a private Funeral Service was held. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue (519) 752-4331. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. A tree will be planted in memory of George in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
