Obituary of Donald Ball

BALL, Donald - Passed away at his home on Friday, December 28th, 2012 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Joyce for 60 years. Loving father of Karen (John Matthews) Jackson, and Glenn (Linda Pick) Ball. Devoted grandfather of Nathan Radu, Garrett (Laura Pavli) Ball, Abbey-Layne Ball, Mary (Peter) Palka. He is survived by his sister Irene Ramey and will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Donald was a long time member of Scotland Lodge and past Worshipful Master of the Reba Masonic Lodge. He retired from Keeprite Refrigeration, and was a long time bridge player, and loved Euchre. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. A Masonic Service under the auspices of the Scotland Lodge # 193 A.F. & A.M. will be held on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Parkinson Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Donald in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
