Obituary of Hilda Davis

DAVIS, HILDA MARY (nee Burtch) - Born September 26, 1919, Hilda entered into eternal rest peacefully, at Hardy Terrace, on December 8, 2007, in her 64th year of marriage to her best friend, Norman. Loving Mom to Eleanor (Alan) Dutkewich, Barbara (Loren) Fleming and John. Patient Grandma to Christine (Todd) Page, Lynn (Christopher) Due, Katherine (Michael) DeWachter, Rebecca Dutkewich, Benjamin (Kelly) Fleming, Charissa (Blair) Sillanpaa, Peter, Simon and Timothy Fleming. Great-grandmother of seven. Predeceased by her parents, Earl (1944) and Ethel (1963) (nee McAlister) Burtch, brothers Donald (1981) and James (1970) Burtch, sister Dorothy Langfrey (1992) and twin, Laura Langs (2006). Hilda was born and raised in Burtch and worked alongside Norman on the farm for almost 60 years. She was active throughout her life, in the Burtch Baptist Church and Mission Circle, Brant South District Women's Institute and the Foresters. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of a life well-lived will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, December 11th at 11:00 a.m. Rev. James Clark officiating. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of floweres memorial donations to Burtch Baptist Memorial Fund, or Alzheimer's Society of Brant would be greatly appreciated.
