Condolences
Several years age we took Bert to a Cirque du Soleil event. When we came to pick him up he was neatly dressed wearing a shirt and a sport coat. Throughout the show and on the way home he was quite quiet and I was worried that something in the show had upset him. When I asked him about it he explained that he wasn't upset he had just "never seen anything like it" and "didn't quite know what to make of it". He thought it was just about the darndest thing he had ever seen. Although an adult he was able to show wonder at the things around him. I wll always remember that. My condolences to the family who have lost a great man.
We are going to miss your dad as we am sure you will. We used to love taking him out for lunch where he would tell me he wasn't very hungry then he would eat everthing there. He was a good man with a big heart.
My thoughts are with your family, Marg, as you all deal with the loss of your Dad/Grandfather. I have many fond memories of when we were young and I'd come to Brantford and always to try to fit in a visit with your Mom and Dad. Both of them were always so nice to me. I hope your many, many good memories bring you comfort and strength to get through the difficult days ahead. He will be missed, I'm sure!!!
