Obituary of Yanbin Song

SONG, Yanbin - Peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer, Yanbin passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, August 7th, 2012 in his 51st year. Beloved husband of Yujie Jiang. Dear son of Yahan Song and the late Qingmin Liu. Loving father of Gavin Song. Loving brother of Ling Song (elder sister) and Ling Song (younger sister). Caring uncle of Jingnan Xue and Shennian Zhang. Yanbin was an architect in China and helped design and build many sports facilities and the Olympic Stadium in Shandong Province, China. He won several awards for his work on sports facilities and also edited a book called "Management of Olympic Facilities". A Memorial Reception will be held at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Wednesday from 12- 2 p.m. Interment of ashes will take place at Oakhill Cemetery on Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Yanbin in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
