Allen, David Charles - David passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2012 at the age of 73. He will be fondly remembered by his children Matthew (Roxane), Catherine, Peter (Marie-Chantal), their mother Wynn and his granddaughter Olivia. Born in Nottingham, England. He was the son of Cecil and Ethel Allen and brother to Roderick of London, England. He taught chemistry for the Hamilton District School Board and served as president of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation - District 8 for several years. A Memorial Reception will take place at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of David in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
