Obituary of Irene Laird

LAIRD, Irene (nee Pellow) - Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton on Thursday, May 16th, 2012 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Elmer (1982). Loving mother of Mary (Douglas) Boughner. Devoted grandmother of Rick, and Brian (Dianna), and her great-grandson Carson. She is predeceased by her grandson Gregory Boughner (2004). She was a long time member of Wesley United Church. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford on Tuesday from 11 - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Irene's family would like to thank the E.R., Express Unit and Ward 3 of Juravinski Hospital for all of the care given to her, with a special thank you to Linda and Amy. A tree will be planted in memory of Irene in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
