My sincere condolences to the whole Elkin Family. I met Lois through Guiding many years ago and she was always smiling and just a great lady to be around. It took her a long time to remember if I was Betty or Marie (my daughter's name) as we were both in Guiding, but I would answer to either one. Lots of good memories. We were both in Trefoil Guild for awhile. I met up with her again at the Elkin dinners at the Best Western and she was still the same "Lois" -smiling always. So sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Elkin. Growing up across from you guys brings back many fond memories of her. I am so sorry for you loss.

Lois was one of my Pathfinder leaders, and friends for many years. She will be truly missed. I always still enjoyed running into her around Brantford when I was home and catching up. I always remember how she never really minded coming on trips with us because once she wanted to go to bed she could just turn off her hearing aid and be undisturbed until morning. Mean while there would be fire alarms going off and the fire department coming out to camp tika to make sure everything was ok.

To my second family, may God bless you all and watch over you at this difficult time. I will miss your mom's happy banter (and reminding her to turn on her hearing aid ;). I love you all and will see you soon. xo Patti
