Obituary of Crystal Smiley-Ferrell

Peacefully, after a courageous fight, the family of Crystal Anne Smiley- Ferrell announce her passing at the Brantford General Hospital on February 13, 2012, in her 41st year. Survived by her beloved husband, Patrick, and their two children, Gabriel and Keely. Much loved daughter of Colleen (Roly) Potvin and Gerald (Billie) Smiley. Cherished sister of Sheryl (Norm), Hillary (Tony), Gerry (Sherry), Ron (Christine), Brian (Alison), Sylvie (Dean-deceased), Ronald (Tracey) and Roger (Marsha). Auntie will be missed by her many special nieces and nephews. A life cut too short, Crystal will never be forgotten for the kindness, caring and compassion she showed her family and friends on a daily basis. A tree will be planted in memory of Crystal in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest. The glue that held a large and mixed family together, Crystal's presence will be missed but her memory will live on. She taught us so much in such a short time. The village will never be the same. Friends will be welcomed at Beckett-Glaves Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. (service from 6 to 7 p.m., reception to follow). Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to an education fund for Crystal's children would be appreciated.
