TRUMAN, Douglas Frederick "Doug" - Gone to be with his Lord and Savior, Doug passed away on Monday, December 19th, 2011, at the Brantford General Hospital, in his 81st year. Loving husband of Elva Truman for many years. Much loved father of John Truman, Ronald (Susan) Truman, Paul (Heather) Truman and Lisa (Jim) Perilli. Dear grandfather of Sophia and Vinnie. Doug was a teacher for most of his life and loved to see young minds grow. He served in schools all across Brant county and the Niagara region both as a teacher and principal, until he retired in the '80's. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Thursday, December 22nd, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Doug in the Beckett - Glaves Memorial Forest.
