Condolences
Dear Brenda, and all the Bridgewater family. I was very saddened to hear the news of John's passing. Remembering Big John with his wonderful smile made me think back to childhood days when Scott, Greig, and I looked forward to and always enjoyed our trips from Peterborough to Brantford to visit with grandparents and the cousins. I know that John will be greatly missed by all the family and pray that good memories will comfort and bring you peace. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Cousin John (Big John) forever loved never forgotten. Last time we seen John was at Uncle Ross's memorial. I asked John if he remembered many years ago when we were visiting family in Brantford, we were at nana's. Just a couple of blocks away we went to a park. John & I were on a teeter totter. John had enough & decided to jump off, I was not ready to stop.
When John jumped off I went flying ended up with the end of the seat hitting me in the chin. I did not loose teeth but I did bite my lip. I had blood all over me. John picked me up screaming & crying. My hero carried me back to nana's while I cried all the way back.
I asked John if he remembered that day? He said he did not but he felt he probably blocked it out of his memory.
John will truly be missed but never forgotten. John will always be with you, your guarding angle. Love you John.
Brenda & Family, I was saddened and shocked to hear of John’s passing this morning. May you take comfort in all the memories you both made in your life journey together.

To all of John's family and friends. I was saddened to hear of John's passing. My Father and Mother (George and Bobbie Harrigan) grew up in Brantford and I have many great memories of coming back to visit family, I remember going with cousin John, more like a big brother then, going to Stan's Variety Store, buying a Cream Soda soft drink. You put a dime in and then through a maze pulled the bottle out. I remember Nana had a Chestnut tree in her backyard and in the fall, cracking the shell of the nut open, putting a hole through the nut, then putting a shoelace through the nut and then having Chestnut wars. I remember walking from Mintern Street (Nana's House) and going to the movie to watch "Sink the Bismark". We sat in the very first row, heads looking straight up. Our necks were stiff for hours. Of course we went back to Stan's for another Cream Soda. I know the pain is deep but these memories brought a smile to me. Big John, we last saw each other at Uncle Ross's celebration, I will see you next time at the 19th hole,we will enjoy a beer together and talk about old times.
