Condolences
A funeral is a very sad ceremony for family and friends, but I think that Ed had a peaceful life and passed away reconciled with his fate. Unfortunately, there are diseases that can be slowed down but cannot be cured.
I am glad that I met him 22 years ago. He was friendly and calm, hardworking and resourceful. I still remember the cake he baked when we were in Brantford -and those pickles he always made. I saw the garden beds that Ed tended. I also remember his sports car when he came to Guelph to visit us when we were in Canada. Ed remembered us during the holidays, sending cards and wishes, and made sure that they were Polish greeting cards. He will remain in our memory and in our hearts forever.
I believe he is among his loved ones in heaven.
Our thoughts and hearts are with you

Rest easy my friend.....will miss chatting with you at No Frills.
We were so lucky to have Ed as our neighbor for many years.
Ed loved with all his heart and helped everyone he could; a real hero on the block!
Many conversations had over our fence. Many vegetables shared from our gardens. And many memories made.
Thank you Ed, for everything.

I’m am so sorry for your loss. I remember Ed from grade school we didn’t find out until later years we were in grade 7 together that our birthdays were one day apart. I remember the days at the good old Brantford post office where Ed and his brother both worked. He always had a nice smile and a friendly hello and conversation every time you seen him. My condolences to all your family. Hope Ed can rest in peace
Ed was a wonderful person and the world was very blessed to have him in it. He was a very helpful and incredibly kind soul, and he was always thinking of others. As an avid gardener, Ed generously shared the fruits and vegetables from his garden with others. He was also an avid sports fan and we shared many great conversations over the years.
We will always cherish the memories we made with Ed and may he rest in peace.
With love and our deepest condolences,
Michelle, Ian, and Michael
In the late 1970s, I worked with Eddie at Miracle Mart and formed a lasting friendship over a few brews while solving many of the world’s problems. Since then, I left Brantford for work but over the intervening years Eddie made a point of getting together. Although I could not be present during his last days, we had one final conversation where I hoped he understood the profound impact he had on me. Rest in Peace old friend.
