On behalf of my family I want to thank everyone for taking the time to share your memories of my Mom, Linda.
Thank you for the written messages, phone calls, flowers and donations. All of your kind gestures have been a great source of comfort.
My Mom would have been so pleased to see our friends and family reach out and embrace us.
It is such a deep, painful loss. My Mom was the glue of our family. She taught us kindness, that giving to others is important. She was always the warmth of the home.
She was such a proud Grandma and loved to watch her grandchildren grow at every stage . She would be there in sad times to hug them and wrap them in their special homemade quilts and celebrate all of their successes big and small. She was love.
In Mom’s last weeks she was able to say I love you to each of us many times and when she no longer could she would give each of us a kiss. I will carry that with me always.
My Mom passed away on the same date as my Grandma (Jane) and I believe my Grandma was with her with her arms wide open to embrace her.
If you are reading this never doubt that my Mom loved you so much and she is our angel now.
Love you all,
Michelle Newstead
Linda was a member of the Sew What group at the BALC for many years. We all learned from each other, shared our sewing/quilting techniques, participated in many projects and, most importantly, created lasting friendships. We have a lot of photos taken at various events. Here’s one of Linda with a few projects and one of the group. We miss you Linda.
