Clara Cullen (nee Wareham) - Wife, mom, sister, Aunt, grandma, great grandma. Clara passed peacefully in her 91st year on July 27, 2024 with her family by her side. Clara was born on July 12, 1934 to Edward and Elsie in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. There, she met her one and only true love, the late Arthur. They married July 19, 1952 and had 6 children, Bill (Lorraine), Dave (Pat), Don (Marjorie), Steve (Marian), Kevin (Barb) and Lori. They moved to Brantford in 1976. Their family grew to have 8 grand children, Cheryl, Deanna (Keith), Art (Meredith), Tom (Heather), Heather (Eddie), Janice (John), Samantha (Jesse), and Zoe. And 21 great grandchildren. Clara is survived by her siblings Myrtle, Jean, Harold, Junior and Eric. Clara was a very fun, kind and wise woman. She was a great listener, always making time for others. She loved to bake. She was excellent at it because she poured all of her love into it. It wasn’t unusual to see her family discussing who would get the last chocolate chip cookie or piece of coconut cream pie. Family was everything to her. She loved family gatherings. Anytime you looked at her she would be smiling, talking to someone or singing and dancing. She would always raise her glass and say “Happy Days”. She was loved immensely by her whole family and will be forever missed. After 26 years, she is now finally reunited with Arthur. A celebration of life will take place in the fall. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331.
A tree will be planted in memory of Clara in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
