Obituary of Bernice Bessant

Bessant, Bernice 1940-2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Bernice Bessant on Friday, June 28th, 2024 in her 84th year. Reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Robert Bessant ( 2009) and son Wayne Bessant (2021). Loving mom of Deborah (Glen) Gosse, Brenda (Shawn) Rideout, Sid (Janet) Drover, and Darlene (Guy) Arseneau. Cherished nanny to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Much loved sister of Clarence (Julia) Green, Meta (Jim) Crow, Andy (Myra) Green, Lila Pucci. Predeceased by her brother Gary Greene and brother-in- law Ed Pucci. She will be fondly remembered by daughter in law Lynn- Ann Bessant and sister in law Frances Greene and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was faithful to her Lord and served her church with all her heart. Her caring and compassion for others led her to a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse on the Maternity Ward at the Brantford General Hospital. The family wish to thank Dr. S. Singh and the Stedman Hospice Outreach Team for their dignity and care of mom. Family and Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Friday, July 12th, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. Service of Remembrance will take place in the chapel on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at 11:00 am. Private interment to take place at a later date. If desired, donations to the Salvation Army Brantford Corps or Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated.
