Condolences
Merle, No more Jokes, No more witty comebacks, No more requests for Fruit Cake or Date Squares. You may have had a gruff exterior but those of us who knew you saw the kind and giving you. Your passing to soon has left a deep void in our lives. Until we meet again, rest in peace dear friend. George, Donna & family
We were so sorry to hear of Merle’s passing. We remember with gratitude how kind he and Jean were to our mother Doreen and stepfather Cliffe Persall. Cliffe’s face would light up when Merle walked in the door. He was a special friend.

To Merle's family...
I am so sorry for your loss. Even though I didn't see him much over the years he was a huge part of my childhood. Rest in peace Merle... Better check to see if Grandma is holding down the couch!!
Until we meet again ❤️
Condolences to Merle's family & friends --whenever he came to NB to visit he would stop in to pay us a visit as we live next door to his brother Martin in Barkers Point--he loved to tell jokes and was always so friendly & kind --he will be missed --Ron & Marilyn Kerton
