Obituary of Donald Lawrence

Lawrence, Donald Edgar - passed away peacefully after a sudden and brief illness at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, December 10th, 2023 in his 89th year. Married over 30 years, predeceased by his wife Kathleen “Kay” (1989). Dear father of Edward, William, Bettyanne (Karen), Jack (Debbie) and Cathy (Geof). Don was blessed with 8 grandchildren Michael, Ryan, Jennifer, Brandon, Sarah, Richard, Emily and Hayden, as well as several great grandchildren. He is also predeceased by his siblings Harry, Marion, Robert and companion Jean. Don was a long time employee of Gates Rubber Canada, retiring after 36 years of service. He is fondly remembered by his sister Dorothy, extended family and friends, as well as the many staff and residents at Riverview, who built an important bond with Don over the past year +. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre on Friday, December 15th, 2023 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 12 pm. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
