Jean Sandra Skilling
(1939 – 2023)
With heavy hearts we announce, just shy of her 85th birthday, Jean Sandra Skilling passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, following a brief illness, in Brantford hospital. Sandra was born in Ayrshire Scotland to Jean and Alexander McGrath and married John Wilson Skilling on February 27, 1959.
John and Sandra immigrated to Canada in 1970. Sandra is survived by her two daughters, Kim (Mark) and Lesley and grandchildren Ryan (Tyson) and Ashley (Brad). Sandra is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of 61 years, John (2020), and her siblings Kay, Sheila, Drew, and Jackie.
Sandra loved her sweets, playing golf, a good tennis match, doing crossword puzzles and her various detective shows. Did we mention her sweet tooth? Sandra will be dearly remembered and missed by her family.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331.
A tree will be planted in memory of Sandra in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
