Lickers, Nadine Marie
November 28, 1939 – February 4, 2023
It is with deep sadness the family wishes to announce the passing of Nadine (nee Herriman) at the John Noble Home in her 84th year. She is survived by her children, Wayne (Kathy), Cathy (Bob) and Rob (Judy). Grandchildren; Jesse (Rachel), Ryan (Heather), Stephanie (Kyle), Chris (Jen) and Brendon (Diyar). Great grandchildren; Vada, Lorne, Avery, Logan and Emma. Siblings; Ric (Gloria), Charlotte, Janet (Bruce), Elaine, Judy (Tim). Nadine was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Roger ( May 4, 2022). Parents Richard and Hazel Herriman, siblings Terry and Stuart. Nadine was born in High River Alberta, moved with her family at a young age to Paris Ontario, finally settling in Brantford. Nadine attended Pauline Johnson Collegiate and served as the first ever Students’ Council President. It was there she met the love of her life Roger. Marriage and children soon followed. Nadine was a long-time employee of the Brantford Dominion Store, then after taking accounting courses she became the head bookkeeper for the Brantford Loeb grocery store and finally before retiring, the Sewing Department Manager for Cravo Equipment. The family would like to thank the staff of the John Noble Home and especially the staff of Costain Court for their care of Nadine for the past six months. Cremation has taken place, there will be a Celebration of Life in the spring where the family will receive friends and visitors. Details to be announced at a later date. Donations in Nadine’s name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-04331.
A tree will be planted in memory of Nadine in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
