Went to be with his Lord and Saviour on May 26th, 2022 just 10 days before 100th birthday.
For many years Harry practiced optometry in the City. He was a pioneer in routine Glaucoma testing and extended wear contact lenses. He was a captain in the 78th Fraser Highlanders and a member of Heraldry Society of Canada. Along with the Kiwanis Club of Brantford, he was instrumental in obtaining the Grant of Arms for the city of Brantford; as well as he enabled All Saint's Anglican Church, Mt. Pleasant to receive their Grant of Arms.
Dearly missed by his wife Lynne (nee Mitchell), his daughter Elizabeth (Douglas), his son Douglas (Lynn) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., 519-752-4331 on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until the service time at 10:30 a.m. The funeral service will commence at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. Interment at All Saints Anglican Cemetery.
A tree will be planted in memory of Harry in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
