Obituary of Bill Woods

Woods, William 'Bill' March 7, 1939- June 13, 2021 Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 82 years of age. Cherished husband of Catherine for 63 years. Loving father of Debra (Rob) Veber and Mark Woods. Devoted grandfather of Jeanette, Mike, Danny, Tamara, Matthew, Alicia and Steve. Great grandfather of Tiana, Nickolas, Alexavier and Louie. Loving brother of Colleen Crocock, David Woods and Sue Cain. Reunited by his loving daughter Janet Clarridge (nee Woods), his parents, Cedric and Kathleen Woods, and siblings Jack Woods, Dorothy Blasdell, George Woods, Edward Woods and Gary Woods. Deeply missed by his extended family in Australia and Jersey, Channel Islands. Bill will be missed by his fur baby and friend Oliver 'bubbies' and many friends and neighbours. Fondly missed by the beloved Rive family. Bill was a retired employee of Koehring Waterous and Burlington Technologies as a machinist. The family wish to thank the Home Healthcare for their care and compassion and to the staff of Juravinski hospital. Friends will be received at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Due to COVID-19, face masks must be worn and Social and physical distancing must be adhered to. A private funeral service will take place. Live funeral webcast will commence on Thursday, June 17th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brant County S.P.C.A. or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Bill in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
