Condolences
We are sending our sympathy to Dorothy’s family.
Dorothy and I were roommates during our first year at Macdonald college.
I remember it well.

Roger and I were saddened to hear of the passing of Dorothy. Although we may not have known her as well as Ross, we will remember them both as a dynamic duo. Dorothy always appeared as a lady who could handle anything including Ross, four children, a farm, and too many community events to mention. Our condolences to all the family and indeed to the people in her community. She will be missed. Roger and Betty Dyment
Our most sincere sympathies to your family and friends.
With fond memories, your friends at the Women's Institute, Rockton Branch
Dorothy was definitely one of a kind. She never hesitated to offer help and had a ready smile and laugh. She will always be the our neighbour on Sager Rd. even when she moved into the village. My condolences to the whole family who have been lucky to have Dorothy in your life.

My deepest condolences, thinking of you all…
I am truly grateful for having met Dorothy, albeit through only a handful of moments over a brief period of time, she is unforgettable.
Her quick wit always had me laughing and she always brightened a room with her conversation and interest in others.
Her vibrant quilts are beautiful and she had the biggest smile when showing them off.
A beautiful soul I won't forget.
Oh, and quite the card player too.
Our condolences to all of the Sager family. Dorothy was such a great and friendly lady. She will be missed greatly.

Dorothy was such a firecracker, and I will miss her energy, her sense of humour, and her table-setting skills. I feel privileged to have known this lady, and am thankful God called her home quickly as she most wanted. A real treasure ... rest in peace, Dorothy.

We had 2 mothers on Sager Road.
As the children of the Baxter/Sager families traversed the quarter mile between houses Ann was at one end and Dorothy was at the other. There was a wilderness that invited childhood exploration in between. At the end of the day if we ended up at the Sager farm,
“ Mrs. Sager” was almost always in that huge kitchen moving at the speed of light. She seemed small in stature but would rival Ross in presence. She would send us to scrub up at the back sink, then help set the table. I know I have peeled many potatoes! Her wit was quick, her smile kind, her laugh joyful and her advice and direction was matter of fact and practical.
These are treasured moments and I send all of the Sager family love as they celebrate Dorothy’s vibrant life. Susan Baxter - “the other Susan”❤️
To all of the Sager family.
April 23rd 1986 was a day that changed my life. As a young adult coming from the U.K, Dorothy was the first person I met as she picked me up from the airport and took me the the farm I called home for a year and a half. Ross and Dorothy were the most welcoming people I had ever met and that was the start of a life in Canada for me. Ross introduced me to the family of my future wife and a new start. Maggie and I were even forgiven for the great milk disaster of 1987 when they went to expo!,
Thank you for bringing me to Canada, thank you for introducing me to the Robertson family and it was a great pleasure knowing you.
Simon Tudball.
Diane,Brenda,Sue,Murray, and Dorothy’s family
I was a long time friend of Dorothy. We went to school together in Shawville and spent many happy times at each other’s home.
Although over the years our lives took different paths,we reconnected a few years ago.
I would like to express my sincere sympathy to all her siblings and family. She loved her family, and know she will be missed. I will be attending her funeral online.
Thinking of everyone during this sad time
