My sympathies to the family, and especially to Susan and Judy, two terrific pupils at Transfiguration of Our Lord Elementary School, where I was Principal in the 1970's. Joan was a quiet, intelligent, concerned and interested mother and educator. She established herself at Transfiguration and at Paul VI as an excellent and caring teacher who worked so well with special needs students. May she rest in peace.
