Condolences
Dear Dorothy and family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Charlie - our doctor for so many years, and a kind friend, always full of life.
We have such fond memories of raising our children together at Holy Trinity Church, many fun family parties, and outdoor time at the farm.
We are thinking of you all and send our sincerest condolences.
Much love,
Jim and Joyce Falco & family
I am Fred and Lottie Mason's Grandchild, Maureen (Mason) and Grant Swift's eldest daughter. I remember Uncle Charlie from so many Pickett occasions when I was small. Tobogganing at a big winter party, the cottage with the big outhouse. The house in St George. All happy memories of being surrounded by this amazing family of relatives. I remember going to all of these places and thinking our own family was so small. Uncle Charlie was bigger than life to me then, and I wish I had known him when I was an adult. I know my mom always has great stories to tell about him and the other Aunts and Uncles. Please notify me when you are able to have a celebration of Charlie's great life. We will all be there. Love to you all. Lara
Dear Mrs. Pickett, and family.
Heather and I hold all of you in prayer at this time of loss of a mentor in life to so many. The numerous memories I have of all the Wednesday afternoon hikes at Camp Wanakita and supper at your cottage on Lake Koshlong are golden and recalled with much fondness. On one such hike Dr. Pickett had to wait with Mrs. Carruthers as she had heart problems.. He was a giant of a man and touched all with whom he had contact. He has left an everlasting memory that we need to grasp onto every moment of Kairos time and value the quality of life we lead.
Thank you Dr. Pickett.
God Bless you all and be with you
Rev. Charlie Hogg
Please accept my condolences to you, Dorothy, and family. While living in St. George, my daughter, Meegan, and I became involved with the community theatre where we had many hours and original plays, written and directed by Aileen Tinkess. The memories of Charlie are many, one with his spoken parts taped across the top of the stage header to help his cues as he performed. He was such a prankster and I recall a closing night of a play where I was to dump my wine on the table at the end of the final scene. Since other scenes followed, I usually drank most of the coloured water so there was less to mop and prepare backstage. On that night Charlie, who played the waiter, substituted the water for real wine, and devilishly kept refilling my glass during the play. Needless to say, I was rather looped by its ending!! We have fond memories. Thank-you, Charlie, for your joy of life and humour. ~Carol
I’m saddened to hear about Dr Picketts passing. I’ll always remember him as a kind and caring person who was my dad’s and my Dr. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during these trying and difficult times.
Dorothy, Cathy, Ruth, David, Will, Laura & Matt, and your respective families. Your Dad always saw the best in people, and he was a big believer in second chances. I'm fortunate to have experienced that. He was generous and kind, and a life long learner. To all of you I offer my deepest condolences. Dale Renout
Dorothy, Cathy, Ruth, David, Will, Laura & Matt,
Our heartfelt condolences go out to all of you and the rest of your family at this very sad time. Charlie was many things to many people but primarily he was a faithful man of God. He loved his family deeply, he loved his community deeply and he loved his God deeply. Both Dave and I feel privileged having known Charlie. There are so many stories that come to mind as I sit here and look at the “Steve Smith pots” that grace our home. I cannot help but smile.
Our love and affection to all of you,
Dave and Sue+ McCullough
God bless you Pickett family. You have lost a guiding light and we have lost a community leader. I completely trusted your Dad with my care during the most difficult time of my life. He'll be sorely missed and always remembered.
Sorry to read of Dr. Pickett's passing in this morning's Expositor. As a former patient, I well remember this child , as well as my father Ernie Little, getting allergy shots at his St. George office. When a surgery was required, he wasted no time making me heal.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of your loss.
Sincerely
Judy Little McQuillin
We were so sorry to hear about Charlie and send our deepest sympathy. He will be much missed by so many people especially the congregation at Holy Trinity.
Sincerely,
John and Fiona Clarke

Condolences to the Pickett family. I have fond memories of Dr. Pickett when he visited his residents at the Nursing Home where I worked as a nurse. He took his time to listen to his residents and also listen to the staff. He was always willing to teach and explain things to the staff. I appreciated his sense of humour. He was respectful to the nurses and I looked forward to him making his rounds.
I also had the opportunity to see him after he retired at some of the Huron Diocesan meetings and enjoyed our conversations.
I am thankful for meeting such a unique, gentleman.
Rest in Peace Dr. Pickett.
Respectfully
Susan Buck

My condolences on your loss, which is also the loss of the community at large. We have been blessed to know him as a doctor, a music lover, a churchman. I also wanted to figure out if there was a relationship with my grandmother, Ketha Pickett. I would have been happy to know he was part of the family! It was a pleasure to know him
