In Loving Memory Elizabeth Ann Leach
August 22, 1944 - July 8, 2020
Born in Liverpool, England, immigrated to Canada in 1973.
Promoted to Glory: Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford, Ontario. Wednesday July 8, 2020
This Ann, of whom we speak was a special kind of lady. Tenacious, industrious, unselfish, and loving. Caring more for others than herself. She was a ‘miracle’ right from the outset: At birth; weighing only two and one quarter pounds. At age seven, was cured from tuberculosis attributed to the faithfulness of her parents and members of her church.
Ann was a Salvationist through and through, “she left the ‘Army’, but the Army never left her.” She was an accomplished musician and when a teenager, performed in a Salvation Army ‘radical’ vocal band. She excelled as a stenographer with incredible typing dexterity, a skill employed as recent as May 2020.
Most important, most memorable, greatly revered was her love for her daughters, Michelle, and Melissa whom she sacrificed personal comfort to ensure their futures during her personal challenging life transitions, divorce, and re-marriage.
Ann will be sadly missed by her loving husband of thirty-years, Ken; her two daughters, Michelle, and Melissa; her son in-laws, Greg, and Shaun. Her two sons, Colin, and Kirk; her daughter in-laws, Lynn, and Kelly. Her nine grandchildren: Nicole, Makaela, Hannah, Meghan, Hailey, Erin, Kaitlyn, Madison, and Allison. Her sister Joan; all her extended family and friends.
Ann’s life was well lived, is a legacy of joy, pride, and pleasure. A loving, lasting memory our grateful hearts will treasure.
A tree will be planted in memory of Ann in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
