Obituary of Gordon Luya

LUYA, Gordon William Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Gordon passed away on Sunday, February 16th, 2020 at the Juravinski Hospital, at the age of 89 years old. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Luya (2015) for over 68 years. Loving father of Pauline (Brian) Smith, Christine (Daniel) Loker, Geoffrey (Marg) Luya, Malcolm (Loretta) Luya, Gordon (Patty) Luya, Yvonne (Chris) Etherington and Janette (Bill) Luya. Much loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Dear brother of Dawn Greer. He will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends. Gordon was the proud owner of My Son's Printing till he retired and was an avid player of golf, euchre and a religious follower of British football. He was a big fan of the Liverpool team. At Gordon's request cremation has taken place and friends will be received at Mount Hope Cemetery, 169 Charing Cross Street, on Monday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome.
