Obituary of Jayson Mask
Jayson Andrew Mask
August 4th, 1968-October 20th, 2019
A.K.A. " Chubby"
Lover of Jack Daniels, Harley Davidson, Unicorns, Bacon, Hot-chicks and Fast cars (not necessarily in that order)
Passed peacefully on Sunday, October 20th surrounded by his family and friends, after a courageous battle with Esophageal Cancer.
Jayson, the first born son to Clemons and Darlene Mask and older brother to Tyler (all deceased) was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario on Lansdowne Ave.
He attended B.C.I. and growing up he worked along side his father in the family painting business.
Jayson later moved on to work for Ford Motor Company in Oakville for 25 years. Jayson was a lover of many things like music, fishing, boating, sledding, racing, "jeeping", cars of every kind (especially his El Camino) and traveling were just some of the things that he enjoyed most of life. He loved riding his Harley with his buddies and also with his favourite litte "backpack" Jessy. Jay took fashon ques from no one. He loved to wear what he wanted and say what he thought, flipping the bird to all his loved ones was something we all experienced many times and that was his way of showing he cared. One of Jayson's greatest pleasures was entertaining and cooking for his friends and family. Known to many as the "King of the Smoker" and "Master of the Baked Beans" this man never found a slab of meat that he didn't want to rub down with some secret spices, wrap with bacon and slow cook to perfection. He was as a self-proclaimed "Foodie".
Jayson was also an avid supporter of Children's Wish Foundation. Selflessly hosting an annual charity Pig Roast with all donations going to help terminally ill children have their wishes granted. Over the past 15 years he helped raise thousands of dollars for this wonderful cause.
Another one of Jay's passions was collecting anything and everything that was Jack Daniels. He was a Tennessee Squire and a respected member of the Jack Daniels Country Club at the Distillery in Tennessee and a loyal loving friend to all.
Jayson leaves behind his loving wife and best friend Pamela (Brock), his 3 adorning step-children, Larissa, Shelby and Kyle and Jacob whom he proudly passed on his love of cooking and secrets of the smoker. Proud and loving Papa to Kaleb, Bjorn and Amos Super daddy to several fur babies, Bear and Mishka to name a few. His nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly being called "Uncle Chubby" and his favourite cousin Julie Mask and kids.
His loyal and loving Unicorn Brotherhood and all his "Brothers from other mothers" and sisters from other misters; Jason Fletcher and Alisha, Jason and Sonya Force and family, Mike Piotrowski and Jocelyn, T.R. Herriman and Jennifer, Dan Kruis and Amanda, John and Becci Donaldson, Andrea and Brian Harris, Brad and Christina Cordner, Jason Hardy and Family. Brian and Barb Wittevien and entire Strodes family. All his boys from El Shop, his ford friends, the Car club gang and many, many more too numerous to mention.
At Jayson's request his remains will be cremated and no funeral service will be held. He didn't want anyone standing around crying over him, he wanted instead a Celebration of Life with music, laughter and great memories catered by his favourite peeps, the Strode Family. This will take place on Friday, November 8th, 2019 from 3-10 p.m. at the Brant Rod & Gun Club in Burford.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that a donation on Jay's behalf be made to the Children's Wish Foundation to honor the man that gave so much to so many.
He will forever be loved and missed by many and forgotten by none.
