Obituary of Shirley Hingley

Hingley, Shirley (nee: Dawdy). Passed away peacefully at the John Noble Home at the age of 92 with her three daughters surrounding her. Beloved wife of the late Robert Hingley for 55 years. Loving mother of Heather (Glenn Campbell), Holly (Alan Berger) and Lisa (Murray Campbell). She was the loving grandmother of eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Shirley is predeceased by her parents Melissa and Colborne Dawdy and 12 older siblings. Shirley was an employee of the Steel Company of Canada and in her later life Canada Post. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Friday from 10-11 am. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Friday at 11 am. A private family burial will take place after the service. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice. A warm heartfelt thank you for all who visited with mom regularly and to the staff of John Noble Home for all their tender loving care and kindness.
