Obituary of Janet Susan Smith

SMITH - JANET SUSAN (VERNA LOUTTIT) Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, May 28th, 2019, surrounded by the love and support of her friends and family, at the age of 63. Beloved Mother of Grant Smith (Christine), Grandmother of Gage Smith and her “Four-Legged Grandson” - Dexter Smith. Forever loved by both her adopted and biological families, including Brothers; Alfred Louttit (Lucille), Thomas Louttit (Penny), Fredrick Louttit and David Smith (Darlene). Sisters; Clara Louttit, Alice Louttit, Betty Jean Graham (Bill), Sharon Steed (Rick) and Diane Krause (Peter). Pre-deceased by her biological parents Emily and Fred Louttit, and her adoptive parents Rachel and Nelson Smith, as well as dear friends Mama Rose and Angie. Jan (Verna) will be dearly missed by her extended friends and family; Deb, Amanda, Denise, Gwen, Sheila, and many nieces (great-nieces) and nephews (great-nephews). Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life at Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, on Saturday, June 1st, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow immediately after at Doug Snooks Community Centre, 333 Erie Ave., Brantford. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association will be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jan in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
