McFarlane, Isobel
Peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital on April 22, 2019 with her daughters by her side after a courageous battle with COPD. Isobel McFarlane in her 86th year. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, predeceased by her husband Andrew (2003). Isobel immigrated with Andrew and children in 1964 and started a new life in Canada. She will be missed greatly by children Fiona (Bruce Hall), Heather Elia (Dom), Stuart (Saskia Roukema) and Maureen Halfpenny (Jim) of Bishopton, Scotland and a very special nephew Allan White (Carolyn). Nanna leaves behind Madison and Liam and Maureen's daughters Claire, Lynn and Jenna. She will be fondly remembered by her brother Matt of Glasgow. Predeceased by Jim, Danny and Jeanette. The family would like to thank the staff of Queensview Retirement community and the staff on the 6th Floor and C4 at the Brantford General Hospital, you treated mom with respect and dignity and kept her laughing through a challenging year. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Saturday, April 27 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Memorial Service will follow in the chapel on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Condolences, tributes, service details and a live funeral webcast are available online at www.beckettglaves.com. A tree will be planted in memory of Isobel in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
