KING, Fraser

It is with unfathomable sorrow we, Denise and David King, relay the news of our son Fraser MacLean King’s passing on January 25, 2019. To his family, his wife and his friends he was an articulate, funny, quiet soul. Fraser loved his family dearly but was unable to believe that he was worthy of the unconditional love we felt and will always feel for him. He fought against the insidious, persistent lies that depression tells. He kept himself from us at times to spare us from witnessing his struggles. Fraser did not realize that the time he shared with us was a gift. To the patients he served during his career as an E.P. at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, he was a compassionate calm voice during their most stressful times.  He was a good son, brother, husband, nephew, brother-in-law, son-in-law, beloved uncle to Henry, and a cherished grandson. He made us laugh a lot and sometimes cry. He appreciated the beautiful Karma that brought his sister Erin King’s good strong heart back to teach at Major Ballachey School, their old Alma Mater. He was grateful that his brother-in-law Chris Saldarelli never stopped reaching out to him. His wife, Jenny, did everything in her power to support him, and for that we will be forever grateful to her. Our family is a little bit smaller now, but we will borrow some of Fraser’s courage and find a way to go on. We will gather to celebrate Fraser at his sister’s home at 43 Palmerston Ave on the 9th of February beginning at 2:00, even though his humble heart would never believe that he was worthy of such an honour. He was a quiet warrior with the heart of a lion. Everyone welcome.
A tree will be planted in memory of Fraser in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
