All of our kids came through Branlyn and I was on Parent Council and volunteer there and met and knew Barb for many years. She was always very caring and nurturing for the kids and was a superb teacher for all of the very best ideals. Her retirement presented a large void to try and fill. She always had a smile and supportive word and she will be sadly missed. Our condolences go to her family at this time of sadness.
Our condolences to you,Garry and your family. I knew Barb from high school on and Jim and I knew her from teaching. She was also in our original euchre group. She was a fun, lovely person and will be sadly missed.

Dear Garry and family.
It is with great sadness that I read about Barb's passing. We were dear friends for a very long time and shared many adventures and special times together.
She has been in my thoughts a lot this past few weeks but why didn't I pick up that phone and call. Another lesson learned - time and friends are precious don't hesitate to touch base with them.
Garry, I know you both had a special love and supported each other passionately through out your marriage.
She is loved, cherished and will be missed by all that knew her.
Rest peacefully and know your legacy lives on through Garry, family and friends.
Will miss you.
Barb and Gary
This comes to you with sympathy especially to say
So many warm and caring thoughts are there with you today
And may it somehow be a help and comfort just to know
How often you'll be thought of through the days that come and go

To all of Barbs family. I met Barb years ago through Alison, Garrys daughter and she made me feel comfortable in her home and welcomed me with open arms. She was a busy lady, but she always had a great smile and a kind word, no matter what she was doing. I am saddened by her loss. She was a truly special person who had a strong and positive impact on many, many people's lives. You are all in my prayers. I believe God had a need for her to be in heaven with him now. Though it is sad for us to lose her, I believe she is in heaven dancing on the streets of gold and maybe even planning events for Jesus. No more pain, no more sorrow for her. God bless you all. Annie
Mrs. North was such a wonderful teacher, and to do this day I have so many wonderful memories with her. She taught me so many things, most importantly to always follow my heart. So many amazing things to say about her, she was such a kind and understanding woman, and she will truly be missed. My sincere condolences.
We are so sorry to hear about your loss of Barb! Sending our deepest sympathy to you and your family!
Dear Family and Friends of Barb,
Mrs. North was an amazing teacher to me (in Grade 8 ), one of those teachers that make a difference. She encouraged my creativity in Photography (and the arts), which actually was the reason I found a love for it and continue to this day. She will always be someone I remember, a wonderful woman. She was so kind hearted and high spirited ❤ My mom was her dietician at the hospital and she told my mom to say hello to me. I am glad I got to tell her she was my favourite teacher before she passed.
I am sad to say I will not be able to attend the funeral as my grandfather has also passed away from cancer and I am leaving for newfoundland tomorrow. But I would have been there in a heartbeat if I could. I am so sorry for the loss everyone who cared about her is suffering right now. May she rest in peace.
