Obituary of Charles Hunter
HUNTER, Charles Bronson
Passed away peacefully on February 3rd, 2018, at the Brantford General Hospital, in his 97th year. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Margaret Hunter (nee Burbidge), his five children; Robert (Christa) Hunter, Anne (Henry) Schulze, Mary (Steve) Seabrook, Stan (Deb) Hunter, John (Andrea) Hunter; his 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A life long resident of Scotland Ontario since 1922. All his adult life Charles served in the fire department, church and his community. He operated Hunter Lumber for many years, was Fire Chief of Scotland Volunteer Fire Department for over 46 years, and was an active, long time member of Scotland United Church. He was deeply loved by his family and others, and will be greatly missed. Many thanks to Dr. Connelly and all the caregivers who tended him at home and in hospital. Friends will be received at the BECKETT - GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Wednesday, February 7th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, February 8th, at the Scotland United Church, 10 Church Street West, Scotland Ontario, from 10-11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment Scotland Cemetery. Donations to the Scotland United Church or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
