Calvesbert, Dorothy Isabel - Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Dorothy was 94 years old. Beloved wife of the late Elmer Simington (1969) and the late Jim Calvesbert (1992). Caring mother of Skinny Simington (the late Anna Mae), the late Gary Simington (1997), and Donna (Bob) Bell. Dear grandmother of Jennifer Simington, Kathy Simington (Kelly) and the late Kelly Barber-Bell (2013). Great-grandmother of Sarah Simington and Teresa Simington. Great-great-grandmother of Mason Simington. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Barb Phillips, Jean Schaeffer and Ruth Phillips. Predeceased by her brothers Andy (Mona), Roy (Reta), Em, Alvin and Oscar; brother in law Lee Simington and sister-in-law Olivine Simington. Dorothy was a longtime member of Balfour Street United Church, a member of UCW, Lions Park Seniors and Participation House Auxiliary. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11 am. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford. In lieu of flowers, donations to Harmony United Church or Brantford Lift would be appreciated.
