Obituary of Wilma A. (Billie) Ludlow
Ludlow, Wilma A. (Billie)
Billie passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the John Noble Home, on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 in her 102nd year. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Ludlow (1976), dear mother of Donald (Catherine) and devoted grandmother of Christine (Andrew) Lassau, Greg, the late Ryan (2013) and Elizabeth (Paul) Humphrey. She will be missed by her 5 great-grandchildren Gabrielle, Madisen, Sophie, Trent and Lily. She is predeceased by her parents Percy and Lydia Neilson. She will be fondly remembered by Margot and Kevin Pollard and their children and a host of family friends.
Billie loved playing bridge, creating ceramic works of art and had a great passion for world travel. A valued member of the family business, she was also a longtime member of St. Andrew's (Zion) United Church and the U.C.W. and was very active in the Women's Auxiliary of the Brantford General Hospital for over 50 years. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Charlotte Villa and John Noble Home for providing such personal and loving care to Billie. A private family funeral service has been held at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre followed by interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Billie's sense of style and quick wit never failed her.
The Ludlow family invite you to a celebration of a life well-lived at the Brantford Golf and Country Club on Sunday, October 22nd from 1 to 4 p.m. Donations to St. Andrew's United Church, the Brantford General Hospital Foundation, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Trees will be planted in memory of Billie and George in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
