Obituary of John Douglas Carr

Carr, John Douglas.

With sadness, the family announces the passing of John Douglas Carr in his 54th year. Husband and best friend to Diane. Loving father of Bailey and Justin. Youngest son of the late Basil and Gloria Carr. Brother of Steve Carr (Laura) and the late Patricia Way (Earl). Son-in-law of Jim Wilson (the late Norma). Brother-in-law of Jeanne Wilson-Rawls (Alan), and Karen Decker (Garry). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. John was a hard working, adventurous person who loved fishing and snowmobiling with friends and family. His hard work and determination led to his successful establishment of Carr Industrial Inc. which gave him great pride and fulfillment for over 20 years. Anyone who knew John recognized that, above all else, he loved his children, and wife and was committed to providing them with the most wonderful life possible, which he did. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford, on Thursday, July 13th, 2017 from 1 - 3 pm and 6 - 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, July 14th at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. A Scholarship has been established in John's memory, to provide support and encouragement for a highschool student going into the trades. Cheques may be written to "Frost White in Trust" in John's memory. 

A tree will be planted in memory of John in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
