Obituary of Lorne M Davies

Davies, Lorne M Sadly on June 13, 2017, Lorne passed away in his 83rd year at the Brantford General Hospital. He will be dearly missed by his wife of many years Janet, his devoted friend Allan Coombs (St. George), his step-children Chad (Niki), James (Mel), Nick (Lindsey), and his granddaughters Kieli, Ava, Auralia, Olivia, and Ashlyn. His passion in life was his gardens. Every winter he was impatient to see his bountiful and colourful tulips cascade across his garden. In the fall, he made special effort to plant parrot tulips, a favourite for the girls. Even though he was limited in what he could do, he was often seen by his neighbours, seated on his rider, cutting his lawn. He will long be remembered for being a determined and spend-thrift individual. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave. on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 from 10 - 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Lorne in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
