The tenacity of her spirit was the constant, diurnal watch-keeper of your clan. Her physical absence leaves a soft hollow that which will be filled with an energy that lived for over a century and will live on again as you all move forward into the future.
I remember her, as it became evening, in your backyard. She was on a lawn chair and wrapped in a blanket. And despite the fact that she might have been chilled, she emanated a wonderful, steely strength that is rare to come by and even rarer in its authenticity--she compensated for nothing.
