Smith, Clara Betty "Jean" - Passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her son on Monday, January 30th, 2017 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald (2005). Loving mother of Vern "Fatty" and his wife Linda. Caring grandmother of Steve and Chris. Dear great-grandmother of Taylor and Kelsey. Also survived her sisters Shirley Boylan, Sharon Minns and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Stan and Marjorie Boylan, her brother Stan "Sonny" and sisters Violet, Barbara and Joannie. Jean was a hard working girl, known for her great smile and love of her animals. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Brierwood Gardens Long Term Care for their caring and support. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Thursday from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1 pm. with cremation to follow. Donations to the SPCA would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jean in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
