Obituary of Ronald Catherwood

Catherwood, Ronald "Ronnie" Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Monday, January 23rd, 2017 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Judith (nee Knowles). Loving father of Rhonda (Brent Cooper) Catherwood, Donna (Greg) Decloux, Bradley (2008), Tim (Amber) Sinclair, and Michael Sinclair. He is survived by his brothers and sisters Louise (Rod) White, Robert (Linda), Brian (Sandra), Gary (Kim), Sharon Hopkins, and Jamie. Predeceased by his parents James and Agnes (nee Thompson) Catherwood. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Graham, Matthew, Tayla, Ella, Julia, Amanda, Tyler, and Danielle, 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, his brother-in-law Peter Knowles, sister-in-law Kathy (Wayne) Comer and many friends. Ron was the former co-owner of Catherwood Welding. A heart felt thank you to the nurses and staff of the CCU at the Brantford General Hospital, his physician Dr. Bann Mahmood, Dr. A. Ajayi, the CCAC and Community Respiratory Services for their wonderful care of Ron. At Ron's request cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave on Friday, January 27th, 2017 from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 from 10 - 11 a.m. A celebration of his life will follow in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the S.P.C.A. Brant, or the Ontario Lung Association would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Ron in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
