Obituary of Philip Green

Green, Philip Harry "Phil" Passed away surrounded by his loving family, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday, Nov. 9th, 2016 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Collins). Dear father of Sue Green (John Nightingale), Tracey (Bob) Johnston, and Ann Chandler. Devoted "Grampy" to David Evans, Sarah Evans (Jamie Andrew), Evan Nightingale, Matthew Breuls (Jill), Jeanette Breuls, Lauren Nightingale, Stephanie Johnston, Megan Chandler, and Corbin Chandler, and his great-granddaughter Scartlett Andrew. He is survived by brother Mike Green (Mono), of England Predeceased by his parents Harry and Elsie (nee Dillon) Green, and his sister Peg. He will also be fondly remembered by his family members in England, and his many friends. Phil was a great volunteer at the Therapeutic Equestrian Association for the Disabled, loved his horses, woodworking, and of course his family. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Phil's Life will be held at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 at 1 p.m. Donations to the Home of Hope Orphanage, Malawi through St. Andrews United Church, Brantford, or the Brandon's Eye Research Foundation, (www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/brandans-eye-research-foundation/#donate_now) would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Phil in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
