Lakatos, Veronika
Passed away peacefully at Hardy Terrace on Monday, October 24th, 2016 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Frank Lakatos Sr. Loving mother of Veronika (Don) Roswell, Gizella (Kevin) Wilson, and Frank Lakatos Jr. (Sherry). Devoted grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Ethel (the late Bert) Penzes, of Brantford, and 5 sisters and 1 brother in Hungary. Predeceased by her parents Anthony Szabara and Gizella (nee Baur), and one sister in Hungary. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Veronika was a kindergarten teacher in Hungary, and worked at Crane Canada for over 25 years. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave on Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday from 12 - 1 pm. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment Oakhill Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Lansdowne Children's Center would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Veronika in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
