Obituary of Elizabeth Lunny

Elizabeth Lunny (nee: Chiasson) - Passed peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in her 81st year after a protracted battle with Alzheimer’s. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Louis Lunny. Loving Mother to Louis, Donna (William), Kenneth (Rebecca), Andrew and Yvette (Steve). Cherished grandmother to Amanda (Jesse), Kyle, Jesse, Kayla,Tasha and Jacob, great-grandmother of Seth. Elizabeth is survived by her beloved siblings Pauline, Yvonne and Lawrence, predeceased by her many brothers and sisters, Rita, Isidore, Alcide, Margaret, Gabriel, Leo, Regina, Antoinette, Gerard, Ephrem, Bertha and Emile. Elizabeth is also survived by a great many nieces and nephews a rich legacy of a large and loving family. Many have sadly mourned Elizabeth for many years and it is with great relief that her suffering has mercifully ended. Friends will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Saturday from 10-11 am. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11 am. Cremation has taken place. If wished, donations in Elizabeth’s memory can be made to The Alzheimer Society of Canada. Elizabeth will be taken home to her beloved birth place Margaree Forks, Cape Breton Island where she will be laid to rest.
