ARMITAGE Richard D. "Dick" Passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Sunday, September 4nd, 2016 in Georgetown, in his 88th year. He will be sadly missed by his children David (Linda),Wendy (Allan), and Geoff (Maggie). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Kevin Bickley (Natalie); Michael MacPherson (Sonya); Brian MacPherson (Melissa); Jackee Silva (Dean); Pamela Sisson (Steve). Richard was predeceased by his wife Margaret; father Herbert; mother Mildred, sisters Lois and Muriel and granddaughter Leanne Armitage. He will also be missed by his great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Richard was an astute businessman working in upper management in the paper convertor business. He retired at 50 years old as Vice President of Cutting Limited. Richard enjoyed golf, skiing, camping and was also an accomplished pianist. He was happy to spend time with family and friends. As per his wishes Richard has been cremated. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 11th at the BECKETT GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, Brantford Ontario. Visitation from 1-2 p.m. A Memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Richard's name to a charity of your choice.
